Group trips to the Faroe Islands with Sanna and Felo

Small groups to the Faroe Islands in Spanish, with accommodation, transport and hikes included, organised by Sanna and Felo together with a local agency.

Every year we want to organise at least six group trips to the Faroe Islands, in Spanish and with small groups. The idea is that some of our readers can make the trip without having to deal with bookings, timetables or permits.

How we see it

  • 10 places per trip. It is a small group, below the maximum of 16 stated by the small-group tours that already operate in the islands. It lets us travel in a single vehicle, stay in guesthouses and small hotels, and hike without forming an endless line.
  • Everything included in one package: accommodation, transport during the trip, guided hikes, and admission and hiking fees.
  • A local agency behind it. The agency handles contracting, liability insurance, logistics and licensed guides. We design the programme and travel with the group.
  • In Spanish. Programme, support and company in Spanish throughout the trip. Hikes are led by local guides.
  • Paced for Faroese weather. We leave spare days, because ferries, boats and hikes depend on the weather.

What the package will include

Service What it covers
Accommodation Rooms in guesthouses and small hotels, based in Tórshavn with a night or two on other islands
Transport The group’s vehicle, ferries and subsea tunnel tolls during the programme
Hikes Guided hiking, including the fee for the trails that charge one
Activities Boat trip and visits to villages and churches
Meals Breakfasts and some dinners. The final programme will set the exact details

Flights to the islands will not be included. We will help you choose the best way to get there from your country.

Who can come

The trips are designed for Spanish speakers, whether from Spain or Latin America, who want to get to know the Faroes at a relaxed pace and with people who know the country. There will be moderate hikes. If you are unsure about your fitness, write to us and we will talk it through.

What is up to you

  • Valid travel documents. Check the entry requirements for your country.
  • Travel insurance that covers hiking.
  • Clothing suitable for wind and rain. The list is in what to pack.
